Caitlin Scranton is from Pennsylvania. She studied dance at Dance Theater of Iowa, Idyllwild Arts Academy and the Ailey School, and in 2005 received a BA in History from Smith College. In NYC she’s worked with Cornfield Dance, Mark Dendy, the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Paul Singh, Ramon Oller and the Peridance Ensemble. Caitlin joined the Lucinda Childs Dance Company in 2009 as a soloist and dances featured roles in Ms. Childs’s work, including the recent revival of the Philip Glass/Robert Wilson opera Einstein on the Beach. Since 2010 she has also danced for the New York-based choreographer Christopher Williams, with whom she is currently touring The Indian Queen, an opera directed by Peter Sellars, and a new production of Rameau’s Dardanus by the Opéra National de Bordeaux. Caitlin studied Arts Management at NYU and worked for the Cunningham Studio, Rebecca Davis Dance Company, and Cornfield Dance in dance education, programming, and development.
